Obital uses eye tracking software as a text to speech tool, allowing more people to communicate freely
It started as a Bachelor’s project at DTU, became a startup, and was later acquired by a major tech company. Obital’s app transforms any mobile device into a communication tool for people with conditions that affect mobility. The low-cost, accessible solution uses eye-tracking technology, so the user can spell out words by gazing at letters.
Before it was bought, Obital aimed to not only enhance the capabilities of users with disabilities but also enables other developers to seamlessly integrate eye-tracking into their applications. Creating even more opportunities for inclusion in digital tech.
